1. Housing & Space Small pets need more room than most people think. A spacious enclosure with room to run, hide, and explore is essential. Avoid wire-bottom cages — they're hard on little feet. Opt for solid flooring with soft bedding.

2. Diet & Nutrition

• Rabbits thrive on unlimited timothy hay, fresh leafy greens, and a small amount of pellets daily. Avoid sugary treats and iceberg lettuce.
• Guinea pigs need hay, fresh vegetables, and vitamin C-rich foods like bell peppers and leafy greens — they can't produce vitamin C on their own!

3. Social Needs Both rabbits and guinea pigs are highly social animals. Guinea pigs especially do best in pairs. If you have a single pet, make sure to spend plenty of quality time with them daily.

4. Exercise & Enrichment Give your pet daily time outside their enclosure to explore safely. Tunnels, chew toys, and hiding spots keep them mentally stimulated and physically active.

5. Health & Vet Care Find an exotic vet experienced with small animals. Regular checkups, nail trims, and dental checks are important — rabbit and guinea pig teeth grow continuously!
